Are you debating if you should book a Category 4E (previously 5E) stateroom on the Disney Fantasy or Dream?
If if you want a massive wrap-around balcony and an oversized stateroom for the same rate as typical verandah staterooms, then that answer should be a resounding Yes.
We recently set sail in stateroom 7688 on the Disney Fantasy. We secured this stateroom for November 2018 by booking a 5E GTY, meaning we were guaranteed a category 5E or better. At the time, all category 5E staterooms were aft (rear-facing) and larger than typical balconies. However, the corner staterooms have the largest balconies and wrap around the rear of the ship. The corner staterooms themselves are much larger, as well. According to Disney, they are sometimes reserved for passengers with mobility/accessibility needs (note these are not a ADA-compliant rooms) but are assigned to others as it gets closer to the sailing date. The only negative for the corner 5E staterooms is that they don’t have a privacy curtain and it’s a large shower instead of a bathtub. This can be an issue if you have small children and want to be able to darken their side of the room for their earlier bedtimes or naps. If this is a concern, consider choosing a non-corner 5E stateroom. But the massive size of the balcony and stateroom is definitely worth it.
